According to multiple reports, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi's marriage to Olori Wuraola, has crashed. He has also informed the family of his estranged queen that he is no longer interested in the union.

Wuraola, who had been previously married to a former governor and a Lebanese expatriate before marrying the Ooni, is said to have left the palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, and has since relocated to Lagos. It was gathered that the Ooni decided to dump her because she is not loyal to him.

Fake policeman steals two phones, gives one to a prostitute .

A motorcycle rider, David Fashina, who allegedly stole two phones from a man in Abeokuta, Ogun State, while wearing a police uniform, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command, Nigerian Tribune reports.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the incident happened on August 8. The victim, one Dr Eniola, reported to the police that he was robbed of his two phones by a syndicate of two, one of whom was dressed in a police uniform. .

In the course of investigation, the suspects were arrested and the phones were recovered from them. Speaking with newsmen, Fashina, from Ekiti State, said he committed the crime when he went to pick a commercial s3x worker who was his customer. .

According to the suspect, “after picking the lady, I saw a man who was drunk and sleeping inside his car nearby, and I saw two mobile phones in his car. I picked the phones, took one and gave the lady the other one. I sold the one I picked for N90,000.”

An 18-year-old undergraduate has been arrested for molesting his adopted sister while at a train station in China. Nanjing police detained the teenager on Monday after he was photographed molesting a girl in public, angering millions of Chinese on the internet. .

Pictures of the man with his hands inside the girl’s dress and on her breast in a crowded waiting room at Nanjing South Railway Station were uploaded online, getting many enraged. .

According to the woman who took the pictures, surnamed Chen, the man’s parents were sitting next to him, and other relatives were also nearby. “First I heard the girl sitting opposite to me giggling on the man’s lap and I thought he was tickling her,” said Chen. .

“I was astonished when I noticed that his hands were not on her waist but on her breast. During the whole process, the girl just played with a cell phone and didn’t struggle at all. .

Anambra Church Massacre: “Why We Don’t Investigate Donors’ Income Sources” – Nnewi Bishop Reveals As Church Resumes Service Today

In the wake of the killings of innocent worshipers at St Philip’s Catholic Church, Amakwa, Ozubulu, the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev Hilary Odili Okeke, came under fire after it was alleged that the drug baron linked to the killings was responsible for the building of the church.

In an interview with SunNews, while reacting to why church organizations accept offers of church buildings and other donations from groups and individuals without bothering to find out source of income of the donors, he said: .
“If you get the information that the person is making his money through a dubious way in criminality, then you know what to do. It is not just a question of anybody who brings money or offers anything to the church, you go to the police and ask them to investigate this man’s source of wealth before you accept it. It is not done.
If you do it, then even in the church we should not be accepting any money because evil people can come to church and give. It is God who knows if the person is giving the money from criminal or immoral source.
God knows everybody and will reward the person accordingly. If you know that the person is a criminal that is when you now tell him, my man go and change.”
He said about fifteen churches in the Diocese were built by private individuals and noted that it is only someone who had been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction that the church would not accept offers from. .
“Even in the Bible it is not the work of the church to begin to cast people away. The church is for the saints and sinners and it is our duty to continue to preach to the sinners,” he added.

Breaking News: Gunmen Attack Yet Another Anambra Church, Kill Policeman And Church Members (Photos)

Gunmen on Sunday struck at the Assemblies of God Church on the Oguta road Onitsha, Anambra State killing one policeman and a civilian.
This is coming seven days after gunmen attacked St Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu and killed no fewer than 13 persons and injured 27.

An eyewitness account told our correspondent that the gunmen had momentarily stopped at the Assemblies of God Church, but on sighting some policemen at the church, opened fire on them.

“When the firing became too hot, the policemen abandoned their patrol vehicle and ran away for safety.
“The gunmen moved to their patrol van and took a gun belonging to the policeman they killed.
“I saw two of the gunmen but I can’t say how many they are in number.
Another eyewitness said, “Gunmen on Okada (motorcycle) shot a policeman and collected his rifle. They also shot dead an Okada man while escaping, and the passenger he was carrying was injured. The policeman was the one armed among his colleagues; they were providing security while church service was going on at Assemblies of God Church, Oguta road Onitsha.
The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar confirmed the incident to journalists.
He said it was not an attack on the church, adding “My men were on patrol near the church when they were attacked by some gunmen. It was not an attack on the church, in the real sense of it”.
The commissioner confirmed that the hoodlums took away a rifle belonging to the slain cop.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige had on Saturday said the Federal Government would work out modalities on how to secure places of worship in the country.
Leading a federal government delegation to commiserate with the people of Anambra State on the Ozubulu shooting, Ngige said that had become expedient following incessant attacks on places of worship.

A man was photographed seconds after he heroically pushed his fiancée out of the way of an incoming car and broke his leg in the aftermath of the Charlottesville rally.
Marcus Martin, 26, was a counter-protester at the tragic day’s events, marching the streets with his fiancée Marissa Blair, 27, and their friends on Saturday afternoon.
When a Dodge Challenger suddenly rammed into the crowd, Martin didn’t hesitate to push his bride-to-be out of the way, resulting in him being hit by the accelerating vehicle.
Martin was photographed in mid-air seconds after he saved Blair’s life, and other photos reveal that when the car backed up over him, his shoe was dragged off.
Amazingly, Martin survived the ‘intentional’ car crash but sustained a broken leg in the horrific incident, as Blair live-streamed the entire event on Facebook.

Moments before Martin was stuck, Blair said they had been walking through the streets, chanting and laughing.

 ‘We were saying, “Whose streets? Our streets!” and just having a good time. We were right at the intersection, deciding to go right or left. We went left.
‘We hear a commotion from the top of the street. It happened so fast. I felt myself shoved out of the way. [Martin] had pushed me out of the way.
‘It was so fast. All he could think was to push me. He saved me then he was under the car. I checked myself and then immediately thought, where’s Marcus?
‘I started looking where the car had hit people. I saw his hat had blood all over it but he wasn’t there. I found him with no blood on him.
‘We were taken to the hospital and I overheard someone say that the heavyset woman who they were doing CPR on had died.
‘I started asking around but I knew that it was my friend Heather. She had been standing right in front of Marcus.’

Blair continued: ‘It was senseless. People said we were wrong for being there but it was that guy who was wrong. Why would anyone think that it’s okay to do this? He rammed into us.

Blair also shared that it was her friend, Heather Heyer, 32, who died after the alleged ‘intentional’ acts by Fields, who is from Maumee, Ohio.
Blair added: ‘I lost one of my good friends today, killed for peacefully standing up for what she believed in. Rest In Peace you sweet sweet soul.’
The Driver was apprehended and is currently in police custody. He was arrested a few blocks away from the bloody scene.

“Pastor Told Me To Get A Virgin Girl For Ritual Purposes” – Man Who Killed 13-year-old Girl In Ogun State

A man suspected to be an accomplice of a fake pastor has said he was contracted to kidnap a virgin girl for ritual purposes.
During a Police parade, an alleged fake pastor of a white garment church in Sagamu, Kehinde Onayiga, and 55 other suspects were paraded by the Ogun State Police Command at its headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta on Thursday.
The suspects’ offences allegedly range from ritual killing to kidnapping, cultism, armed robbery and impersonation.
Among the suspects paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, was Onayiga, who is alleged to have a hand in the killing of a 13-year-old girl, Anuoluwapo Ajisafe, for ritual purposes.

He alleged accomplice, Musiliu Jibril, reportedly lured the victim to Onayiga’s church where she was said to have been murdered.
Jibril confessed to journalists that it was Onayiga who contracted him to source for a female virgin, who he wanted to use for ritual purpose, in preparing some fetish materials for some Internet fraudsters.

He said, “I was able to lure the girl because she knew me and the mother, too, knew me.
“It was the pastor (Onayiga) that contracted me to help him get a female virgin for ritual. He told me he wanted to prepare some charms for some Yahoo boys.
“I delivered the girl to him in his church at Sagamu. He promised to pay me N20,000, but I am yet to get the money.”
Onayiga, dressed in white garment, and holding two goat horns wrapped in red cloth, denied the allegation, saying, “It is a lie. he did not deliver any girl to me in my church.”
Onayiga said he trained under an Islamic cleric before branching out to start a white garment church.

Asked what he used the fetish-looking goat horns wrapped in red cloth for, he responded, “I used them to pray for those that are sick and are brought to my church for healing.”
The teenage girl, Anuoluwapo, was said to have been missing since June 21, 2017 and her whereabouts remains unknown till date.
Another suspect paraded for murder/ritual killing was Bakare Olalekan, who was linked to the killing of a 16-year-old girl, Olayinka Adebayo, in Ijebu area, and reportedly sold her heart to ritualists.
Iliyasu said four members of the syndicate were already in police net, while the suspect (Olalekan), had confessed to selling two human hearts to one of them.
He said he bought one of the human hearts for N10,000 from a friend called Oye.
Also nabbed were a mother, Mulika Alaba and her 16-year-old daughter, Olamide Saliu, who allegedly dealt in Indian hemp.
A bag of Indian hemp was allegedly recovered from them.
Iliyasu said in a bid to curb criminality in the state, the command had deployed tactical and covert operatives from the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Police Mobile Force, conventional policemen, intelligence unit and Anti-Kidnapping/ Cultism to the length and breadth of the state. (PUNCH)

Federal High Court in Lagos Orders Diezani Alison-Madueke To Permanently Forfeit Her $37.5million Banana Island Mansion To FG

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the permanent forfeiture to the FG of a $37.5million Banana Island property bought in 2013 by former Minister of Petroleum Resources Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke. .

A vacation judge, Justice Chuka Obiozor, made the order yesterday following a motion on notice argued by EFCC. The judge also ordered that $2.7m and N84.5m realised as rent on the property be permanently forfeited to the government. .
Justice Obizor, on July 19, directed the EFCC to temporarily seize the property designated as Building 3, Block B, Bella Vista Plot 1, Zone N, FG Layout, Banana Island Foreshore Estate, consisting of 24 apartments, 18 flats and six penthouses. .
The court directed that the temporary forfeiture order be published in a newspaper and adjourned till yesterday for anyone interested in the property and funds to appear and convince it why they should not be permanently forfeited. .
During proceedings yesterday, EFCC counsel Anselem Ozioko told Justice Obiozor that the publication order had been complied with. He noted that despite going the extra length to personally serve the second and third respondents in the case Afamefuna Nwokedi and a company, Rusimpex Limited, they did not show up in court to contest the forfeiture order.
The EFCC had earlier told the judge that the Banana Island property was reasonably suspected to have been acquired with proceeds of unlawful activities by Mrs. Alison-Madeueke. .
The anti-graft agency said its investigations revealed that she bought the property sometime in 2013 for $37.5m, which she paid in cash. According to the EFCC, the $37.5m was moved straight from the former minister’s house in Abuja and paid into the selller’s First Bank account in Abuja. .
“Nothing could be more suspicious than someone keeping such huge amounts in her apartment. Why was she doing that? To avoid attention. We are convinced beyond reasonable doubt because as of the time this happened, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke was still in public service as the Minister of Petroleum Resources,” the EFCC lawyer, Ozioko, had told Justice Obiozor.

Photos: Enugu Bishop Arrested For Defrauding His Church Members Of N500Million

The Enugu State police command on Monday arrested a self-acclaimed preacher, Bishop Ginika Obi, the General Overseer of the City of Liberation and Comfort Ministry, for allegedly swindling his members to the tune of over N500 million.

It was gathered that the suspect used his non-governmental organization ‘Build Your Generational Organization’  to lure unsuspecting members into investing on the guise of reaping “bountiful dividends” only to defraud them.

When his crime was discovered, he abandoned his church and members and fled to Asaba, Delta State where he started operating a new church with a new name. He was also said to have changed his title from ‘Bishop’ to ‘Prophet.’

He was, however, arrested at a hotel in Enugu at the weekend. The Enugu State government had, following the discovery and public outcry over his activities, dismantled the church building and gave the land to a private developer as part of the ongoing HELIU residences projects.

Spokesperson for the State Police Command,  Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the arrest, said Bishop was trailed based on intelligence information to a hotel at Amechi Road, off Agbani Road, Enugu.

“He is now helping operatives in their investigations in relation to his nefarious activities. He said he never knew his financial non-governmental organization would turn out this way. He disclosed that the amount he defrauded is not up to the sum of N500 million but N186 million.”
