Warren's room to get her ready for breakfast. .
.
He
said that Warren became combative and tried to kick him. He wrote that
he held her legs together to keep from being kicked and heard a "crack"
from her leg and said she began to scream in pain. .

his supervisor that he didn't tell the truth originally because he was
scared he'd get into trouble, according to the incident report. The
supervisor called police. .
.
The police
department requested the GBI's assistance in the case and, on Thursday,
the agency announced their findings - that Warren intentionally caused
the elderly woman's injury.

well as intimidation of an elderly person. He is being held at the
Coweta County Jail.
.

charge of battery against a patient at another facility. Those charges
were not pursued.

At last, Senate passes Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB)
.
.
The
Nigerian Senate has passed the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill, the
long-awaited legislation that promises broad reforms to the nation’s oil
and gas industry. .
.
The report on the
bill, produced by the Senate joint committee on gas, petroleum
(downstream) and petroleum (upstream), was presented on Thursday by
Donald Alasoadura, APC-Ondo. .
.
After a
clause-by-clause consideration, with few amendments, the Senate
approved the bill, moving a step closer to making its ambitious contents
law. .
.
Amongst other objectives, the
petroleum bill seeks to introduce reforms that would engender
transparency, while at the same time making the oil and gas sector more
business-oriented and profit-drive. .
.
If
eventually passed by the House of Representatives and signed by the
president, the bill will restructure some organisations like the NNPC
and the Department of Petroleum Resources, while setting up new ones
like the National Oil Company. .
.
The
NOC, as proposed in the bill, will be an “integrated oil and gas company
operating as a fully commercial entity and will run like a private
company”. .
.
The bill, which has spent
years in the National Assembly, is to be sent to the House for
concurrence before seeking presidential assent. “I congratulate the 8th
Senate with the passage of this landmark bill which has not been passed
for many years,” the senate president Bukola Saraki, said Thursday
Igbos shouldn't complain about marginalisation, they didn't invest in Buhari's campaign - Ngige
Igbos shouldn't complain about marginalisation, they didn't invest in Buhari's campaign - Ngige
.
.
The
Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, has asked the
South-east to stop complaining of marginalisation by the President
Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
.
.
He
lamented that all his efforts to persuade the Igbo to wisely invest in
Buhari’s presidential bid in 2015 failed because of lack of co-operation
by many South-east leaders, who threw their weigh behind former
President Goodluck Jonathan.
.
.
“This
is not a question I should answer because I’m a politician. But before
these things happened, before the government of Jonathan failed, I went
to all the Igbo fora to tell them that the Jonathan government will
fall”, he told Thisday.
.
.
“I
went to our Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo in Enugu twice. They could not even reply
to a letter written by Gen. Buhari, seeking for a meeting with them”,
he added.
.
.
Ngige,
revealed how he went to Lagos and convened an Igbo stakeholders forum in
William Nwodo’s house in Ikoyi, Lagos in 2014, where he analysed the
voting pattern in Nigeria and told them that even if they did not want
to support Buhari, they should give him 25% of their votes.
.
.
“They
refused to listen to me, and to make matter worse, there was no voting
in most of the areas in the South-Sast; they just allocated 5% to APC.
It was that bad, it is too late to cry when the head is off. Politics is
business in a way, you invest in business and you reap profit.
.
.
Yes,
that is what it is. But all I want to tell you is that we played bad
politics; we made a bad investment because they invested in the Jonathan
presidency. They invested in Jonathan more than the South-South, where
he hails from.
.
.
I am
not saying that is enough to marginalise them or not allow them come in
but we are there. I will continue to speak for them and when there is
anything to be distributed, we will make sure that the South-East gets
its own portion. But they will not get excess portion.

Teachers to now earn higher salaries than other workers -FG .
.
The
Federal Government Thursday said it is working on plans to ensure that
teachers are paid salaries higher than other workers in Nigeria,
TheNation reports.
.
.
The
government said increase in the salaries of teachers would help to
attract the best to the teaching profession. Minister of Education,
Adamu Adamu, disclosed this at the inauguration of Governing Councils of
21 Federal Colleges of Education. .

the country got it right by first taking a critical look at teaching
and teacher education. .
.
.
He

what do you want us to do in education. Their planning was geared
towards the development of human resources. .
.
In
Malaysia, top percent of those who scored the highest in their
equivalent of JAMB compete to be teachers. If you are a teacher in
Malaysia, you are to ranked than any other worker in the country. .

Biker miraculously cheats death when he ploughs into back of driver who cut him up before landing on the boot of the moving car (video)
The motorcyclist had been on his Harley Davidson bike, cruising down a Los Angeles road when, without warning, a blue Toyota saloon car pulls into the lane reserved for motorbikes. The biker had no time to stop so he smashed straight into the back of the car.
The biker moaned audibly as he hits the car then says: "Oh f***" before he's thrown onto the boot of the moving vehicle. He shouts for the driver of the vehicle to stop as he bangs on the window of the car.
“I can’t believe you right now dude,” the biker can be heard saying.
When the car finally stops, the biker limps up to the driver’s window and says: “Are you joking me? “Bro are you kidding me? I almost just died. I was on top of your car.”
The driver looked unbothered as he looked straight ahead and murmured a half-hearted apology. This incensed the biker and he shouted back at the driver.
“You are not sorry. You almost killed me. My leg is f***** right now dude. What are you thinking there is a yellow line for a reason. Pull the f*** over. I don’t even know if my bike can move right now. What are you doing?” he yelled. The biker later shared the video on YouTube to create awareness about road usage and safety.
